Extra Self-Care Things You Can Do

I hope everyone is well, and healthy! With the pandemic crisis, I am passed my second weeks "sheltered at home". I am not in a panic or anything, but I abide the law.

Food and water were bought during the first day of madness. Luckily, I have my son, with young legs, running around different stores to secure what we need for at least two weeks should we face such measure!

I hoped from sites to sites, checking on local groups, and watching the news everyday. Thus, I picked up some tips on how to take care if I develop symptoms.

On top of the general guidelines, you should also:

  1. Take your temperature everyday. If it is higher than normal, do everything you can to break the fever. Take a shower bring down temperature, and loosen mucus.
  2. If you live alone, make some soup and freeze it.
  3. If you wear glasses, wash it under hot water every time you come home.
  4. Get your zinc, vitamin C and vitamin D in everyday.
  5. Drink hot liquid, such as tea, coffee, or water with lemon juice.
  6. Handle your mail and delivery packages with gloves, and throw the gloves in a garbage outside.
  7. Gargle with antiseptic at least once a day.
  8. You can also clear your lung and loosen mucus by having another person standing behind you, and tap on you back everyday, especially for children. This is what the nurses in the hospital do for Covid infected patients.

I thought these are good to share as I collect the tips to inform my family. We are one big family on this earth, and we will get through this too.

Take care, and go outside for fresh air! At least we are still allowed to do that :-)
