Christmas 2019

Wishing all my blogging friends and visitors a great Christmas! May your time fills with love, gratitude and blessings!

In Mourning and Remembring

I haven't updates for more than three weeks now, since I am in mourning time, and my mind isn't in a good place.

The last parent in my life, MY MOM, passed away on November 1 and went home to the Lord at 93 years old. We knew the day will come, but once it came, we were still in shock.

It doesn't matter how much you have prepared your mind for the final farewell; it still hit you like a ton of boulder! I am going through the good times, bad times, frustration times, and regretting times everyday.

In the end, her peaceful and beautiful death comforted me that she never has to suffer anymore, and that one day we will re-united in faith.

Beautiful Purple Cornflower

I am watching the flowers in my garden getting ready to hibernate for the winter. The cornflowers are still trying to stay strong and beautiful. The butterflies and bees are no longer around.

After two days of strong wind and rain, my beautiful purple cornflower takes its toll and couldn't withstand the beating. It is that time of the year, but I know they will come back, and I have plenty pictures of them to look at.

Gorgeous Mushroom

Temperature drops, cooler, wetter and more gray in color than anything else in my world now. In my flower pot on the deck, I saw this gorgeous mushroom. It still is in perfect condition and has such pretty disposition.

I love seeing things like this. Nature lives and gives us so many wonderful amazing things to see. This fungi only last a day or so before it goes back to the dirt.

White Butterfly

Just the last few shots from the summer, when all the flowers seemed to grow smaller, and fighting to survive in the colder temperature. This cabbage white butterfly usually was the first one to show up, and often the last one to leave before winter arrives.

There are lot of clean up to do outside before the snow come, so I get to see this pretty butterfly eating and resting. They seem to slow down a lot, and mostly stay in the sun to keep warm.

The Glorious End Of Summer

This wild aster flowers are in full bloom and at their best in the colder climate. Bumble bees love them! They feast on the nectar and pollen before summer goes away. If you spend enough time observing them, you will find it so fascinating to study their behaviors.

Wild flowers are gorgeous flowers, live freely in nature, and self-care. They need no human intervention or bother with meticulous cultivation. They self-seeds themselves year after year to bring beauty into the world.

Summer Best and Last

Summer is leaving us, and this is one of my summer best and last. The beautiful painted lady butterfly came to say goodbye. She stayed around, warming up her wings for a while so that I can have a few photos. Nothing makes me happier than to spend even only a minutes outside to see the beautiful world that I live in.

My lady didn't seem to be busy with the pollen or nectar from the flowers, but more likely to soak in the sunlight before she goes on her long journey to wherever.

Pretty Orange Dragonfly

It has been a while since I last saw dragonfly. Living in the condo complex, nature bounty seems to be limited! We are only granted a small space along the edge of the house to plant what we want, otherwise, it is an empty grassy field with a few trees.

Needless to say, when I saw this pretty orange dragonfly, I was thrilled, and tried not to disturb it so I can snap a few pictures. Though he kept his eyes on me, he let me take his pictures.

2019 Gold Finch

Gold finch loves sunflowers, but I ran out of time planting them this year. I did put down a few seeds, but due to the many weeks of rain, nothing sprouted.

However, there are few gold finches visiting my coneflowers. I am not sure what are they feeding on, but I am thrilled seeing them.

Gold finches are very skittish! One little noise can send them away, unless there are the brave ones like this lady finch. She stays so I can take a few photos. Nature made me happy!

One Two Three

This is the time of year when skippers are chasing each other around! What a great year for them, as my sedum flowers grew a hundred times bigger than the year before!

The Fabulous Duo

This fabulous pair: a flower and a butterfly is such a pleasant thing to see in the late morning when I walked out to the garden.

The cool weather is here, and these wild purple aster flowers are in full bloom. They attract skippers, bees and butterflies like magnet.

Don't you think this is beautiful? To see something this amazing, all I can do is to take it in fully and allow it to give me a tranquil feeling to settle all the madness inside.

I love this aster! Do you see the curling petals? Nothing is more beautiful than to see this nature!

Have a great weekend!

Life Happens

Pink Coneflower
Once upon a time, I love writing and I love blogging. And then I grew up and life keeps happening. Photography brings very little joy to my day.

If you happen to visit my blog today, you might experienced some hiccups; because out of the blue, I felt the need to change the template! I am pleased so far with it; but it is still a work in progress.

Pink Coneflower
Well, this is a test post to see how everything works out on the new template. I hope all of my blogging friends stay inspired, healthy, and a happy life.
