Empty Nest

Friday, June 06, 2014

When I saw this on early Sunday morning, I knew that these baby robins were ready to leave the nest. Besides, the nest has gotten too small for all three growing youngsters.

First One On Deck
This was the first hatched baby, and he/she was much stronger and more ready to leave than the other two. It took a while for it to gather courage, so I must disappeared.

Second On Deck
By the time I came back from church, the first one was gone, and the second baby robin was on deck, reluctantly as you can see.

Third On Deck
This was the third hatched baby, not quite as strong or brave, but mama and papa were calling so much that she/he had no choice but making the steps out on deck.

Made It
I spotted the first baby in the tree branch while waiting for the other two to take off. He/she made it way up there, and I didn't see how it got there.
