2014 Mourning Cloak

Friday, April 18, 2014

Spotted my first mourning cloak butterfly in the yard last week! He/she was soaking up the sun and didn't really mind my present as I tried to stay still and behind it.

Sweet sighting I tell you in the early of spring season. I also saw the flickering of cabbage white butterfly but couldn't get a picture. In truth, I rather go after the mourning cloak since I don't get to see it often.

Looked like at the end of her wings there were some tattered, but she was quite a beauty to see. I can't wait for more butterfly to come around.
