Hiding From the Cold

Saturday, February 15, 2014

My winter birds came out once in a while, but they seemed to hide in between the branches. Though there were a bit of sun now and then, the wind chill was -10 to -15 for them to stay around long.

This blue jay wedge itself among the barren branches . I am waiting for a melt down, snow melt down that is!

No matter where the cardinal hid, his red coat still showed up vividly. It is the prettiest color in the winter to see.

  1. Great birds! Are they hiding from the cold or the hawk in first photo. Thank you for linking up to my Saturday's Critter party! Have a happy weekend!

They are hiding from the wind, and the hawk even looked cold to me :-)

  9. Such pretty birds! They must feel like sitting "ducks' with so little foliage around them.
