In Clear View

Life is good when you sighting a hawk like this in plain view! I watched it through my window when it was still in between the branches. I also saw it caught something and ate it. And then just like that, it came in clear view for me to snap.

This is the first time I see a hawk in such clear view! What a beautiful and magnificent raptor right in the city and in my neighborhood.

You can see how gray the sky in the background was and the temperature was minus zero! I think this hawk rules my area. He/she kept a really good watch around my house every other day perching in the same tree.

Beautiful bird. We have a slight problem when they hang around near our bird feeders. Frankie de tabby tries to stalk them. :-) x x x

Great captures- I'm enjoying trying to get a closer view of the one that stalks my backyard. He is wily though.

You were lucky to get such a clear shot of the hawk.

Very nice! What a great opportunity. It's easy to tell when a hawk (or other raptor) is in our area, because the crows and mocking birds go nuts! They go nuts a lot.
