Creamy Color Moth

Saturday, October 12, 2013

I first spotted this creamy color moth on my orange wallflower digging deep for nectar. I was not sure what it was, but it was flapping frivolously and caught my attention.

I believe it is a moth of some sorts, as the body was thicker and the head was larger than a normal butterfly or a skipper.  The beautiful upper wings have some dots and patches of light brown on them.

I've tried to Google it and looked through many websites for its identification, but couldn't find anything that looked close to this moth. In any case, it is my jackpot and I enjoy finding it.

I looked up Hummingbird Moth, but can't find anything similar looking to this creamy moth. Maybe it is a different species?
