Pretty White Coneflower

Monday, July 29, 2013

My white coneflower has now becoming an enormous bush in my backyard, and it has also re-seeded itself in different areas. I have transplanted a few to the front garden, and so far so good.

Last year this white coneflower attracted lots of different butterflies and skippers. However, with a strange weather we have, not even a monarch has stopping by! Bees love it though.

I'd like to plant a pink or purple coneflower next year since this flower is pretty much self-sustaining and requires very little care.

  4. I love coneflowers! And I love to see big groupings of them. They are good to leave the seed heads for the birds to eat. Great photos and pretty flowers. Have a happy week!
