Big Black Bird
This is truly a black bird, from its beak to its tail. It was huge, at least twice the size of a regular bird and was followed by many other regular size birds. They were very noisy and flying around and about chasing after this big black bird.
The caught me by surprise while I was planting flowers in the garden, and got a couple of quick shot when this black bird took a short break from the others. Don't know what it was, but it was a real big black bird. Could it be crow?

Probably a crow, they can be quite big!

He was probably raiding their nests. Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
These are great shots! I do not know the difference between a black bird and a crow--or a raven for that matter--
i am not very good in distinguishing between crow and raven, but usually when it is huge like a hawk, i think it is raven.
What a great bit of entertainment for you while you worked! He sure is pretty.
It's big, whatever it is!
It does look like a crow. We get lots of them in our yard.
Crows are very large, black and very loud!
Looks to be a crow -- he's handsome.
