Pretty American Tree Sparrow

American Tree Sparrow
After the rain, this little copper top came by the feeder for food. He/she doesn't look like other sparrows but vividly stands out with that special marking on his head and by the eyes.

I looked him up on Google search, and through the description I found out he/she is an American Tree Sparrow: reddish or copper crown, black stripe by the eyes, and two white stripes on the wings.

He/she was wet, and patiently waited at the feeder for his/her turn. Best of all, he/she was a very willing model. Can you tell?

He/she was absolutely posing for you. She knows she is a pretty little diva. Sparrows are my favorite birds and I love this one. Gorgeous shot, Icy.

I love it!!! Especially the very first one. That image is so well composed and the lighting is perfect!! Which, for me, is very difficult to obtain...with birds!! Well done.

Beautiful shots, though it is a the similar Chipping Sparrow, which has a black line through the eye while the American Tree Sparrow has a reddish brown line behind its eye as well as a usually prominent chest spot.
