Baby Squirrel

Maybe a Day Old
A little girl in my neighborhood found this baby squirrel on the ground, and she was so excited to show us. The unfortunate critter didn't even have his/her eyes opened yet, and we suspected that it was only a day or two old.

Vulnerable Baby Squirrel
Though it was not a pretty sign to see, I felt bad for the baby squirrel! He/she was so vulnerable and its life depended on the nurturing and caring of a human now. This little girl said she will take it home and raised it.

Mam nadzieję, że dziewczynka potrafiła się takim maleństwem opiekować. Pozdrawiam.
I hope that the girl was able to take care of this little thing. Yours.

Oh, is that precious. There is a woman here in my neighborhood who actually raises squirrels. I think this is a wonderful opportunity for the little girl that found the baby squirrel. Thanks for sharing, Icy

Oh is that possible, are there incidents in the past where they live with human care even that young!

Oh, poor little thing. We raised a baby squirrel when I was a child. Probably why I have such a soft spot for them.

Oh no...will it live? I do hope so. Poor baby!!

I hope the poor baby survives.

TheChieftess January 24, 2013 2:08 pm sad...but hopefully the girl will be successful!

My ex and I rescued kittens so small we could dunk them in a coffee cup (in iodine to get rid of ringworm) and had to bottle feed them!

Hope he makes it...those baby animals are so fragile.
