Maybe a Day Old
A little girl in my neighborhood found this baby squirrel on the ground, and she was so excited to show us. The unfortunate critter didn't even have his/her eyes opened yet, and we suspected that it was only a day or two old.
Vulnerable Baby Squirrel
Though it was not a pretty sign to see, I felt bad for the baby squirrel! He/she was so vulnerable and its life depended on the nurturing and caring of a human now. This little girl said she will take it home and raised it.

Oh, is that precious. There is a woman here in my neighborhood who actually raises squirrels. I think this is a wonderful opportunity for the little girl that found the baby squirrel. Thanks for sharing, Icy

ReplyDeleteOh, poor little thing. We raised a baby squirrel when I was a child. Probably why I have such a soft spot for them.

ReplyDeleteMy ex and I rescued kittens so small we could dunk them in a coffee cup (in iodine to get rid of ringworm) and had to bottle feed them!
Hope he makes it...those baby animals are so fragile.
