Sword Lilies In the Rain

Sword Lilies
The rain poured down one day, heavy and thick in streamming curtain. I watched my sword lilies (Acidanthea - Murielae) drooping and enduring hours of strong wind.

Macro of Sword Lily
As nature has it, the rain were just kisses and each flower held on to those kisses as long as they can! This particular sword lily took my breath away and gave me an image of a dancer spreading her arms out to fly.

At the End
These two old flowers also had a charm of their own, and I couldn't over look their beauty at the end of a cycle. The rain kissed each and everything under its sky!

Enjoy a beautiful new week!

  9. Where did my comment go? Lost in the ozone. Love these photos. Though Jaipur hasn't had nearly enough rain this monsoon season, I've gotten some nice shots when it does pour. It sounds so great in the rains here....pounding ferociously on the ground and roof.
