Juvenile Robin 2012

Juvenile Robin In Hiding

Startling me was this juvenile robin; hidden in the corner of my garden and behind my gladiolus. I didn't know what kind of bird it was at first. So yes, we stare at each other for a few moments before I realized that I should take some photos. It is a baby robin!

Robin In Clear Sight

As soon it heard the clicking sound of my camera, it started to move but still looking at me curiously. I assured the little birdie that I wouldn't hurt it, and just wanted a few pictures. This was my first time ever seeing a cute young robin, and I love his/her speckle chest.

Winking or Mad Looking?
It hopped into the bush despite my plead, and I decided to stop stalking the poor thing after that. This year was a wonderful year for robins, and I saw more of them around, especially the juvenile ones like this.

The lattice showcases him (her?) beautifully! Very considerate of him to hide in front of a perfect backdrop.
