Go on, put out a bird feeder or two, and you will see different kinds of birds coming to your yard. I was a bit more active in feeding them this year, and my spent money brought me more joy than I could ever imagine.
After the rain, this chickadee came to my feeder for a visit. I had plenty of seeds in there to attract different birds and so far the blue jays, cardinals, sparrows, crows, starlings, white crowned sparrows, doves, and this chickadee were all enjoying the feast.
At first I thought this was just another sparrow until I paid attention to the noise it made when hovering around. It has a very different song, so I began my stalking :-) I set up a lawn chair a bit further away from the feeder, and soon enough, I was rewarded!
